Since its independence, the people of Ghana have experienced widespread housing deficiency. Relative to more developed areas of the world, housing is very expensive in Ghana as compared to average annual citizen incomes. Accordingly, as population growth vastly outstripped available housing provisions, an enormous housing crisis developed, leaving many today to sleep in kiosks, streets, verandas, the woods, and lorry stations.
The Children of The Lord Foundation works to help affected families, including parents, grandparents, and children experience better quality of life through improved living conditions. We work to provide running water, septic systems, and modern shelter to all those deserving. To that end, the Organization has been supporting the efforts of local teams in the Ashanti Region to raise innovative housing solutions for large families to ensure the promise of a better tomorrow is maintained for the youth of today.
